Birmingham Airport is the latest company to send its buying
representatives to meet firms who may want to do business with
them.
A senior buyer from the airport will join other buyers from
Jaguar Land Rover, the NEC Group and Solihull Metropolitan Borough
Council all keen to meet local businesses.
The event on 11 May organised by Solihull Chamber of Commerce
and Solihull College is also an opportunity for businesses to take
an exhibition stand to display products and services. A number of
break-out sessions will be running throughout the day on website
optimisation, strategic sales, legal employment law and
others.
The Solihull Showcase business exhibition will be held at the
college's new management centre in Blossomfield Road, which will be
officially opened on the day by top chef Glyn Purnell, who runs the
Michelin star 'Purnell's' restaurant in Birmingham city
centre.
Jane Jackson, Director of Solihull Chamber of Commerce, which is
part of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group said the event will be
of interest to businesses or organisations which are keen to
network and trade with other Solihull businesses.
She said: "Local firms that are able to do business with
another local company which might be located a mile up the road, is
a major benefit for business efficiencies and cost savings.
"We are also delighted that we can co-incide this business event
with the opening of Solihull College's new conference
facility."
