Multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm Waldeck is expanding once again having recently acquired the capability to offer mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services.

Waldeck, which has offices throughout the east of England and South Yorkshire, has set up a new M&E Department based at its headquarters in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

The service will be headed up by newly appointed Director Peter Webber who has significant sector-wide experience in all aspects of building services and renewable technologies.

Peter is an experienced Chartered Building Services Engineer and a CIBSE-registered low carbon consultant and has proven knowledge of sustainability issues.

He specialises in client liaison, conceptual design, pre-planning advice, sustainability, M&E design, renewable technologies, carbon management, reviewing contractors' proposals and assessing on-site workmanship.

Peter's team includes qualified BREEAM assessors and SAP assessors and offers clients the full range of M&E and renewable technology advice.

Waldeck is one of the fastest growing consulting engineering firms in the UK and is working on some major projects including a multi-million pound scheme to restore Blackfriars railway bridge in London and a £210 million Ocado distribution centre in Dordon, North Warwickshire.

Commenting on this latest acquisition, Managing Director Paul Waldeck said: "This is a tremendous progression for our business and it offers a fantastic opportunity and benefit to our clients.

"We can provide all things engineering under one roof, speed up communication and enhance the quality of the whole offering, and as you would expect from Waldeck this gives us further scope to create innovations and value for our clients."
