Two top Shrewsbury firms have joined forces in the town to offer their clients a full service of "legal excellence".

Linder Myers Solicitors and Blackbourn & Bond have launched a joint venture to ensure that all needs of their clients are met; offering a full service of both private and commercial client work.

Linder Myers has been active in Shrewsbury since 2008 and is committed to offering a full range of legal services, from their Shrewsbury offices. The venture with Blackbourn & Bond will allow the firm to provide advice on business transactions, business development, commercial and construction matters to clients serviced from a Shrewsbury-based team.

Bill Jarvis ,Regional Managing Partner, said: "I have been aware of Nick Blackbourn's excellent reputation for some time and I was aware that our respective practices had much synergy.

"Nick and I have been in discussions for a couple of months and, during the course of our discussions, I was aware of how committed we both were to forming a strong alliance between our two practices.

"Nick has been running his own business for several years and it was felt that initially a joint venture between our respective firms would be beneficial, with a view to a permanent association after a trial period.

"Nick's practice will be able to take advantage of the infrastructure provided by a large organisation such as Linder Myers LLP but, being a very talented and highly-regarded Corporate Lawyer, Nick gives myself and my colleagues in Shrewsbury a great opportunity to tap into his undoubted knowledge and expertise.

"We are all very excited about the connection that has arisen and hopefully its long-term implications for us both."

Mr Blackbourn adds: "I have been highly impressed with the vision and leadership of Linder Myers to become a leading legal services force within our region.

"To have an opportunity to be part of the team being assembled here is very exciting and will undoubtedly serve our respective clients well."
