Titanic Souvenir Ale to Celebrate a Royal Wedding and the Great British Pottery Industry

Loyal subjects can toast the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in style thanks to a partnership between two Stoke-on-Trent companies.

Titanic Brewery has launched a Royal Ale to commemorate April's wedding celebrations and has worked with Wade Ceramics to produce a limited edition ceramic bottle into which a special version of the fine, golden beer will be hand bottled and wax sealed.

Just 150 of this limited edition of Titanic ceramic bottles - will be produced by Wade in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of the Pottery industry.

"The Stoke-on-Trent ceramic industry has a long tradition of celebrating royal occasions with specially made pottery," said Keith Bott, Managing Director of Titanic Brewery.

"While brewing a Royal Ale in honour of our future King and Queen, we felt we could also celebrate a great British industry by commissioning unique bottles from a Stoke-on-Trent pottery.

"It is our intention to produce other limited edition Wade ceramic bottles to mark special occasions in the future."

The first of the limited edition Royal Wedding bottles will be presented for charitable fund raising purposes to civic leaders in Stoke-on-Trent and to the Donna Louise Hospice Charity.

Paul Farmer Managing Director of Wade said - "I think this is a great opportunity for two of this city's businesses to combine forces in commemorating this very special occasion.

All at Wade look forward to working with Titanic on other exciting projects in the near future."

There will be a chance to purchase remaining bottles via Titanic Brewery, Lingard Street, Burslem, Stoke on Trent or from any of the five Titanic pubs in Stoke on Trent, Stone and Stafford or from Utobeer in London and a small number of agents across the UK.

Titanic Brewery club members who are now entering their second year of membership will also receive a bottle.

A draught version of Titanic Royal Ale will also be released on draught in Titanic Brewery's five Staffordshire pubs and throughout the many hostelries of the midlands and north west who offer their award winning ales.
