A Shropshire-based firm of leading property specialists is continuing to go from strength to strength following the appointment of a highly experienced new member of staff.

Nock Deighton has taken on Stephen Morris as a Building Surveyor at its office in Shrewsbury, following a distinguished surveying career spanning the past four decades.

A Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Architecture and Surveying Institute (ASI) amongst others, Stephen brings vast experience from a hugely diverse career in the building and chartered surveying industries, covering both private consultancy and roles in the public sector, where he worked in council planning departments and with regional health authorities.

Stephen was a founding partner of McCarthy Morris chartered surveyors and moves to Nock Deighton following a spell as Director of Building Surveying at Oswestry-based DPA Surveys Ltd. He specialises in a wide range of surveying-related professional services, such as structural reports, building surveys, RICS homebuyer reports, residential valuations, and dilapidations.

David Perrin, Director for Nock Deighton, commented: "Stephen is a very welcome addition to our team. His track record speaks for itself, and his wealth of experience and substantial expertise will prove to be a huge asset to our clients over the months and years to come."

Stephen Morris said: "I am delighted to join the successful team at Nock Deighton. Although the property sector has faced a challenging period, I've joined the company at a very busy time and am looking forward to helping the business continue to grow. Shropshire is home to such a fantastically broad range of properties, and I look forward to working with architects and builders on a number of exciting upcoming projects."
