The installation of a new printing press will add an extra
dimension to the services offered by Lincolnshire polythene
specialists CFN Packaging.
As part of an ongoing facilities upgrade CFN Packaging's new
Windmöller and Hölscher Primaflex CM press is now fully
operational.
The eight-colour process print press is a further major
investment for the company, which has invested around £2m in
plant and premises over the past two years.
Its factory and office complex in Skegness, Lincolnshire has
been extended by 50% and CFN Packaging has also recently installed
two polythene extruders and a new recycler.
"The new press is a very high-quality German machine and it will
help us to open up new areas of business such as printed form fill
film for the food industry and supermarkets," said Peter Wood,
Sales Director at CFN Packaging.
"We are now becoming better known for process print and thanks
to our partnership with Print Quest Graphics we can offer
unrivalled flexographic print quality using the Kodak Flexcel NX
Digital Flexographic System."
The new press increases CFN Packaging's print capacity by 50 per
cent and enhances the British Retail Consortium (BRC) accreditation
which CFN Packaging achieved recently.
BRC accreditation is an independent quality assurance standard
for businesses whose activities involve in food hygiene and food
safety.
