Mike Ware has been appointed to head CB Richard Ellis' property and asset management team in the Midlands, South West and Wales.

A senior director, Mr Ware has been with the firm for six years, establishing the property management service in Bristol.

The move puts Mr Ware at the helm of a 51-strong team across the three regions, including 11 surveyors and 18 facilities managers working from Birmingham.

He said: "CBRE advise a range of clients from independent businesses through to major corporates.  We combine local knowledge and expertise with the full weight of a global business. Our property and asset management service is not about collecting rent and service charges - we offer clients a full 360 degree view of their property and how it can be leveraged to their advantage."

CBRE's property management clients include ING, Nurton Developments, Carlyle Group, Threadneedle, and the BBC, BP and Shell pension funds. In Birmingham, the firm manages many of the city's trophy office buildings, including Colmore Plaza and Cannon House/2 Colmore Square.
