Advisors across Midlands are being urged to attend a free
seminar on how to prepare their clients' businesses for tough
trading conditions and equip them to cope in these challenging
times.
Business advisory firm Cooper Parry is holding a few free
breakfast event to help companies across the Midlands develop
procedures to combat the difficulties of the economic
environment.
It is also targeted at bankers, lawyers and accountants in the
city and county and will provide practical advice on how companies
can capitalise on improving economic conditions.
The seminar, called Get it Right Next Time, Preparing for the
upturn, will be led by Tyrone Courtman, partner in the Business
Turnaround and Restructuring Services team at Cooper Parry.
He said: "I still remain to be convinced that we have yet seen
the worst of this recession.
"For those who fail to get it right first time the consequences
are potentially disastrous for their businesses, their families and
for them personally. So this seminar is to help businesses
advisors, lawyers, bankers and accountants help their clients to
get it right.
"Our research shows that businesses tend to panic when the
conditions become tough and it is important that they have measures
in place to put their organisations in the best position to
capitalise when the upturn arrives."
The seminar will help recognise the warning signs of clients in
difficulty, how to recognise survival opportunities, how to assist
clients to apply survival strategies and how to avoid common
business mistakes in tough conditions.
It will also identify ways of protecting directors against
potential personal liabilities that may arise and will provide an
update on the most recent developments in business rescue and
turnaround.
The free event takes place at the Cooper Parry offices in
Leicester, Derby and Nottingham from 8am-10am on May 5, May 17 and
May 19 respectively. Places are limited so businesses are being
urged to register to guarantee a place.
