support for Midland Heart
Colleagues from the Cadbury Pensions team in Bournville have
been showing off their artistic flair recently by spending the day
painting and decorating at the Midland Heart owned Helen Dixon
House in Moseley, Birmingham.
Helen Dixon House provides safe and supportive housing for women
aged 25 and over. The colleagues from the Cadbury site in
Bournville helped to paint and decorate the communal areas and
assisted with general maintenance work.
Judith Cross, operations manager for supported housing at
Midland Heart, said:
"It was an amazing day, the team worked so hard to brighten up
the corridors and communal areas; it has helped to create a warm
and welcoming environment for residents and staff to enjoy.
"We presented the team with a special plaque to say thank you
for their continued hard work, support and enthusiasm over the
years, they have been a pleasure to work with!"
The day with Midland Heart comes as part of a longstanding
relationship between Cadbury and the organisation. Last year, over
150 employees from Kraft Foods and Cadbury volunteered with the
organisation as part of Kraft Foods' Make a Delicious Difference
Week.
Allan Whalley, pensions director at the Cadbury site in
Bournville, said:
"Everyone at Kraft Foods is dedicated to supporting local
organisations such as Midland Heart. They provide vital support in
our communities and we are happy to help them in any way we can.
We're looking forward to continuing our close relationship with
them and supporting on other projects in the future."
