Lizard IT moves to The iD Centre

Local IT support and consultancy company, Lizard IT Solutions, is the latest developing company to join the cluster of technology-based businesses at Derby's iD Centre.

The company has relocated to office space within the iD Centre, on London Road, in order to progress its current expansion plans and create a more central operation for the business.

Lizard IT Solutions, which was formed in April 2010 by Adam Smith and Ashley Cook, had previously been operating from home offices. The duo decided to make the move to the iD Centre after experiencing a period of significant growth and high customer demand.

Between them, Adam and Ashley have more than 35 years' experience in the IT industry and providing a range of services to schools and businesses ranging from PC and network installation through to software development.

The company now provides an extensive range of IT services, including a comprehensive IT support package, remote monitoring and email services; it also offers hosted exchange, web services including domain registration, web design and hosting, as well as its own help desk service.

In addition, it provides a wide range of computer supplies including PCs, servers, memory, CPUs, HDDs, webcams and printers.

Commenting on the company's move to the iD Centre, Adam Smith, managing director of Lizard IT said:

"We are delighted to have relocated into offices within the iD Centre; it represents a real milestone in the company's development and will mean benefits to our customers.

"The iD Centre was an obvious choice for our new office premises. With a strong technology-based community to share ideas with, business incubation support and strategic location, the iD Centre is a perfect fit for us."

The iD Centre is a fully serviced business incubation facility specially for technology-based and engineering businesses, with 32 fully furnished office units ranging from 105 sq ft to 438 sq ft.

All units have a staffed reception, meeting rooms with video conferencing facility, kitchen facilities, subsidised restaurant, free parking and a 360-degree business incubation support package. The iD Centre is supported by the EDRF, a programme, which provides funding to economic regeneration schemes and organisations regionally.
