Innes England has completed a letting to global logistics
company DHL within the Lakeview development, at Sherwood Park in
Nottingham.
This latest deal follows the recent letting by Innes England, of
the Geneva building to Matrikon, both of which are Highbridge
Properties' schemes. DHL has moved in to just over 11,250 sq ft
comprising the majority of the ground floor of the 'Como'
building.
This is the second largest free-standing headquarters-type
building of a larger scheme constructed in mature landscaped
grounds of the former Kodak headquarters.
The decision to take the space within Como culminated in a nine
month search undertaken by David Turner, the regional surveyor for
DHL. David had been searching for a new central location to house
the administration and support functions of a supply-chain contract
with the NHS.
A number of teams currently based in several smaller facilities
located around the country will be brought together within the
building.
Guy Marsden, director of Highbridge, said that he was delighted
to have secured such a high profile company particularly as the
original property requirement was fluid leading to numerous market
options for DHL.
"We are particularly pleased to secure this letting, not least
because it underlines the high quality of our development at
Sherwood Park. Of particular importance to the tenant was the level
of car parking, which we are able to provide at Lakeview, and
believe is probably the most generous available on any new
development within the region."
Innes England director Chris Sinclair acted on behalf of
Highbridge and said: "I am delighted that we were able to agree
terms and to conclude a transaction with DHL. The location benefits
greatly from its strategic location immediately adjacent to
junction 27 of the M1 motorway."
Highbridge was represented by joint agents Innes England and NG
Nattrass Giles.
