Gleeds Birmingham, the International Management and Construction
Consultancy, are celebrating the announcement that that the
firm has been named "Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year"
at the Construction Industry's top yearly awards ceremony held at
the Grosvenor Hotel, London.
With the greatest number of entries in the awards history Gleeds
beat off all comers to be recognised as the top surveyor in one of
the most competitive categories.
In the commendation that accompanied the award trophy, judges
describe Gleeds as being able to provide clients with "a winning
combination of professionalism and personality", citing in
particular their "impressive work" on the conversion of the Grade I
listed St Pancras Chambers in London, describing how the
consultancy "toiled to get the project back on cost and on
time."
Lindsay McCombe, Director of Gleeds Birmingham, said, "I am
delighted to be able to announce our success at the Building
Magazine Awards which act as a showcase for our whole industry." He
went on to add, "I am incredibly proud of the whole team for
working so hard over what continues to be a very challenging
economic period and making this fantastic achievement
possible".
In addition to their Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the
Year nomination, Gleeds were also shortlisted in the
Project/Construction Management category in which the judges
acknowledged the firm's popularity amongst clients, stating that
80% had recommended them to others on more than one
occasion.
