FHP Living has opened its doors to the residents of West
Bridgford and is ready for business at its new offices in Bridgford
Road.
The leading estate agents and award-winning firm of chartered
surveyors opened on Tuesday (26 April) and people can now visit the
striking new offices.
The building has been thoughtfully designed by interior designer
Charlotte Mawhood of FHP Living Interiors, Philip Watts Design and
architect Roger Harrison, with Andy Avison of FHP project managing
the development. The team wanted to come up with the ultimate in
contemporary design. They decided on something modern, cool and
quirky, yet homely at the same time, which would represent the FHP
Living brand.
David Hargreaves of FHP Living says: "We are delighted to
finally open our doors to the residents of West Bridgford and
beyond, to show them what we have on offer. After six months hard
work, we have transformed a former bin store in to this state of
the art office.
"We wanted to create something unique which reflected the FHP
Living brand and what it stands for. Everything within the office
is bespoke and carefully thought out, from the double height glass
shop front to the giant map of West Bridgford which is displayed
inside. We even have our own West Bridgford Monopoly game, there is
nothing like it anywhere in the town, or even in Nottingham. West
Bridgford is a very poplar place to live and has the potential to
become like a London suburb such as Notting Hill, Chiswick or
Putney. We want people to come in to the office and enjoy browsing
through the properties we have for sale not only in West Bridgford
and the surrounding areas, but also in The Park, Mapperley Park,
the city centre and at our 'Distinctive Homes' brand.
"The opening of the new office is a strategic move for FHP
Living, and has been planned for some time. Our commitment to West
Bridgford has been demonstrated by our £350,000 investment in
creating this state of the art office."
The office also boosts eight plasma television screens
displaying all the properties FHP Living has for sale and rental,
including a number of commercial ones.
The office will be run by Steve Parker, who, along with property
consultant Jules Hunt, is also a resident of West Bridgford. Other
property consultants at the office are Alice Foster and Ollie
Marshall, who have both proven their skills at the FHP Living
Nottingham office. The day to day manager of the office will be Jo
Toft, who recently joined the firm from Savills.
Charlotte Mawhood of FHP Living Interiors said: "I was delighted
to have been chosen to design the style and layout of the office,
but it was very much a team effort with me, David and Philip Watt
Design. We decided that we wanted to offer customers a different
concept to what they had seen from an estate agency in the
past.
"The 'living room' area has been designed to make customers feel
welcome and relaxed, as they browse through their options and
decide what they would like from their new home and get them in the
mood to move.
"We started work back in January this year and pieces will be
added and changed over time, just like in a real home. It's
important that it functions as an office, but equally that the
customer feels welcome, something we have tried to do by decorating
the room with items from the high street and accessible brands that
they would know.
"This has been a fantastic project to work on. FHP Living is so
well known in Nottingham I am really proud to have had input into
the design of the offices. Hopefully the other offices will be
jealous and be asking to redecorate soon!"
