The Midlands office of national audit, tax and advisory firm
Crowe Clark Whitehill has unveiled a major charity initiative.
The Midlands offices are raising funds for three charities over
the course of the next financial year - Acorns Childrens' Hospice,
Leukaemia CARE and Kemp Hospice.
Midlands managing partner, Johnathan Dudley said: "We have made
many friends in our local communities and will be continuing to
support them in the future after our relocation to Black Country
House, Oldbury later this year. This is reflected in the charities
our staff have voted for."
"This is the first time we have concentrated our efforts in this
way," said Mr Dudley.
"The partners and staff will be working hard throughout the year
and have come up with some creative ideas to raise money for these
extremely worthy causes."
Acorns has hospices in Walsall, Worcester and Selly Oak,
Leukaemia CARE is based in Worcester and Kemp Hospice is in
Kidderminster.
Donations have already begun to flow in after the initiative was
announced by Mr Dudley at the firm's recent Post-Budget seminar in
the Midlands.
Jill Turner, from the Business Solutions department, will be
giving the fund a major boost, when she runs the London Marathon on
Sunday, April 17. Jill aims to run the course in under four
hours.
