Shropshire welcomed its newest restaurant on Saturday evening during a gala-dinner which also marked the successful completion of a £1.5-million redevelopment and expansion of Hadley Park House Hotel & Restaurant, in Telford, and re-brand by Shropshire based Leisure Marketing Midlands LTD.

Hadley Park House Hotel & Restaurant has been owned and operated by Mark Lewis and Geraldine Lewis since 2003. They have steadily built a reputation for quality dining, comfortable accommodation and exceptional service; and following a period of extension refurbishment, investment and development the hotel, which now offers 22 luxury bedrooms, a 140-seater function suite and a dedicated Restaurant, they not only needed a new website, corporate identity but also a name for their restaurant.

Owner Mark Lewis called for the support of specialists Leisure Marketing Midlands LTD,who launched a campaign to find a suitable name for the restaurant, reflecting the heritage of the Georgian Country House. Generated through their new website, and social media campaigns, the competition generated an incredible response of well in excess of 1,000 suggestions.

Mark Lewis comments "I cannot believe how creative some of the suggestions were, and how much research people had been prepared to put into naming the restaurant,"  adding "the campaign in the regional press and Internet, created by the team at leisure Marketing LTD was outstanding, and very well managed. We only chose the name 3 days before the event and their design team even managed to create us a new logo, reflecting the freshness and heritage of the restaurant and new name, we and the 60 guests at the gala dinner were delighted."

The chosen name was 'Dorrells Restaurant" as the hotel's new extension is built on the remains of the farm buildings, which was run by the family with the same name, but was in such a state of poor repair when Mark and Geraldine Lewis bought the premises that they needed to be demolished.

Dorrells Restaurant in Telford, will be serving local Shropshire and Staffordshire produce, created by AA Rosette Chef team headed up by Tim Wesley "We have been operating the restaurant since we arrived with no true identity, but this naming now gives us an added focus, and enables us to push our menus further for the increase in diners - we are already taking many more bookings for lunch and dinner - its good to see it full with diners, as well as residents" adds Tim.

Leisure Marketing Midlands LTd director James day comments "The whole project has been really exciting with the Hadley Park, from the initial re branding last year, to the website creation, and the social media activity through their www.twitter.com/hadley_park account,  and now this is really the icing on the cake. The gala dinner was a wonderful event with a real family atmosphere, and we were also pleased to see 4 tables who attended from our own Lifestyle Dining Club gourmetlife, who travelled from as far afield as Birmingham and Worcestershire to attend the event, and stay overnight."
