Colliers International has appointed Nicholas Round to the newly
created role of national head of shopping centre leasing.
Mr Round joins retail agent Emel Ahmet at the firm's Birmingham
office.
He moves from the Manchester office of retail specialist retail
property consultancy Tushingham Moore, but worked in Birmingham
from 2005 at Lambert Smith Hampton, where he was a director of
retail
With more than 29 years experience in the property industry, his
clients have included AXA, ING, Threadneedle, Frogmore and LaSalle,
and he was most recently responsible for lettings at Temple Point /
the North Western Arcade, Birmingham; Ryemarket Shopping Centre,
Stourbridge; Rowland Hill Shopping Centre, Kidderminster; Carillion
Court, Loughborough and Belvoir shopping centre, Coalville.
Mr Round said: "I will be heading Colliers' shopping centre
leasing team from the heart of the country. Birmingham is now
formally recognised as the one of the UK's top regional retail
destinations*. The recent confirmation that John Lewis is to open a
store in the city will only serve to enhance that reputation. I am
delighted to be back in the city."
