With more than 29 years experience in the property industry, his clients have included AXA, ING, Threadneedle, Frogmore and LaSalle, and he was most recently responsible for lettings at Temple Point / the North Western Arcade, Birmingham; Ryemarket Shopping Centre, Stourbridge; Rowland Hill Shopping Centre, Kidderminster; Carillion Court, Loughborough and Belvoir shopping centre, Coalville.

Mr Round said: "I will be heading Colliers' shopping centre leasing team from the heart of the country. Birmingham is now formally recognised as the one of the UK's top regional retail destinations*. The recent confirmation that John Lewis is to open a store in the city will only serve to enhance that reputation. I am delighted to be back in the city."

David Smeeton, head of the Birmingham office, said: "Nicholas is a welcome addition to the Colliers' retail offer and a significant boost to the senior team based in Birmingham."
