Specialist legal property management firm Brady Solicitors has marked three years of sustained growth with two new appointments to its senior management team.

Laura Severn becomes a shareholder and is promoted to Operations Director, and Vin Chauhan has joined as Head of IT.  

Laura Severn has been with Nottingham-based Brady Solicitor since March 2009 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Managing Director Clare Brady explains the promotion:

"Consolidation and downsizing have been features of the legal sector since the combined impact of the banking crisis and the Legal Services Act 2007, with many firms feeling the pinch. However we have bucked this trend with a 280 percent increase in turnover and a trebling of staff numbers since March 2010. Laura has played a crucial role in this growth and I am delighted to be able to recognise her contribution with a senior shareholding position in the firm.

"Our model is simple: we have a niche offering that we deliver in an economical, efficient and client-friendly fashion. We took the decision to focus purely on the property management sector, which means we are very aware of the industry pressures faced by our clients and we can take a much more active and hands-on approach to helping them. We also offer a clear route to qualification as a solicitor, which, as any recent law graduate chasing a training contract would confirm, is more valuable than ever at present."

Laura Severn adds: 

"We are still a relatively small firm but our specialist nature and growing reputation gives us excellent prospects for continued strong organic growth. Head of IT Vin Chauhan joined the firm in February from Berryman Solicitors, where he gained extensive experience in legal IT and case management software. Vin is developing and implementing the systems that will take Brady Solicitors to the next stage in its growth as Clare Brady explains:

"Vin is a great recruit for us. He has both knowledge of the legal sector and a real understanding of how IT can be a genuine enabler for a business such as ours. We are looking forward to sharing the benefits of Vin's input with our clients."

Brady Solicitors is a specialist property litigation and debt collection firm based in Nottingham city centre. Brady Solicitors currently employs 20 people and was founded in April 2008 by property litigation expert, Clare Brady.
