BHSF, the Midlands-based employee benefits specialist, has
revived the concept of the home service sales agent to market the
latest in its expanding range of products.
The community-based representatives will promote the Benefits
Club in their local area and the first group has already received
accreditation at the company's head office in Ladywood,
Birmingham.
The Benefits Club is designed to bring a selection of privileged
benefits, normally only enjoyed by blue chip employers, to
everyone, and members will be able to access discounted services
and products, legal and counselling services, together with advice
and support on health matters and other lifestyle issues including
luggage and key-find services.
The club costs members £3.65 per month and has been
launched in the West Midlands where BHSF already has some 200,000
customers employed with local businesses.
Brian Hall, sales and marketing director, said: "Through the
Benefits Club, we fulfil many of the aims of BHSF by bringing
high-value benefits to individuals who might otherwise not have
access to them.
"It allows us to promote the health and welfare of ordinary
working people and for the first time really reach out beyond those
who are employed in the traditional businesses of the area.
"At the same time we will be providing an income to our local
representatives many of whom will do the job as a second income or
as a part-time role around their other commitments.
"Add to this the further security it provides for our existing
140 staff and the way in which this new initiative will allow BHSF
to continue and develop its community-based programmes and you
begin to see why the whole team here is so excited.
"As the State begins to roll back many of its support structures
in order to save money, our ability as a not-for-profit
organisation to step into the breach and provide important benefits
at an easily-affordable price is precisely what BHSF is
about".
BHSF has for nearly 140 years supported the health and welfare
of working people, sponsoring most recently the Gamgee Medical
Lecture, Coventry Fun Run and supporting CSR partners such as St
Basil's, Acorns, Marie Curie and others.
