Birmingham-based health insurer, BHSF, has appointed its
youngest senior manager.
Geoff Guerin, 27, who has been appointed Business Improvement
Manager, joined BHSF on the graduate programme in August, 2006,
with a BA(Hons) degree in Business Studies from Nottingham Trent
University.
He was appointed Project Officer in September 2007 and Assistant
IS Manager in May 2010. Geoff has gained wide experience in the
business and has developed a reputation for performing to an
outstanding level.
He is well on the way to completing his MBA through Aston
University and his results in the modules completed so far have
been at a high level.
Geoff was the Birmingham Insurance Institute Young Achiever of
the Year in 2010, he won the BHSF Achievement Award for
"Continually searching for fresh ideas and new ways of working to
secure sustained competitive advantage to become the benchmark for
our industry" in 2009 and 2011 and also the Outstanding Achievement
Award in 2011.
In addition Geoff has been a good participant in the company's
Corporate Social Responsibility Programme including completing the
St Basil's long-distance walking challenge several times and
running the London Marathon.
Chief Executive Peter Maskell said: "BHSF has some very skilled
and talented people in the team but Geoff displays that extra spark
of entrepreneurship and he adds great value to our operations. He
joins the senior team as Business Improvement Manager on 1 May
2011."
