A wealth management specialist who helps the region's business owners, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals with their personal finance decisions has scooped two industry awards - her fourth win in as many months.

Rachel Kitching, who works as a senior paraplanner at Cooper Parry Wealth Strategies, which has offices in Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, beat off candidates from national firms to win the Paraplanner of the Year in the Professional Adviser Awards 2011. She was also appointed into the Financial Adviser Academy Fellowship for 2011 by Aviva.

Ms Kitching said: "I am absolutely delighted to have won both the awards. Working hard to achieve and maintain technical excellence is fundamental to the service we offer our clients, and it is gratifying to see this being rewarded."

Ms Kitching is now one of three Fellows appointed into the Aviva Financial Adviser Academy Fellowship for 2011.

The Aviva Financial Adviser Academy Fellowship recognises financial advisers who have made significant strides in developing their profession. Appointed fellows will become the beacons for professionalism amongst the Financial Adviser Academy community and the wider industry.

Over the last few months, Rachel has been awarded the Highest Achiever in the Diploma in Financial Planning by the Personal Finance Society (PFS). She has also won an award for the "Best Performance in completing the Diploma" by the Insurance Institute of Leicester.

Her role at Cooper Parry Wealth Strategies sees her specialise in investment strategy and lifetime cashflow modelling to create comprehensive financial strategies for individuals.
