A new heart to the community

Since development of a new 25,000 sq ft retail and office scheme began, close to the site of the former St Crispins hospital in Northampton, it has fast become a focal point for the local community says commercial property agent prop-search.

St Crispins Local Centre has been developed from a number of existing buildings, including barns that have been completely transformed by Lodge Park Limited to provide for a mix of uses - bringing a 'beating heart' to the surrounding 2,000 homes and community.

Chris Billson a Director of prop-search, said: "We are delighted that work on this new scheme has been completed which is great news for the local residents.  It will create an exciting new future for the St Crispins area by providing much improved shopping facilities, coupled with offices, which hopefully will lead to job creation."

Tenants for a significant amount of the new units have already been identified with the majority now open and trading. The development is anchored by a One Stop convenience store with other retail units having been let to Simpson & Partners estate agency, a florist, funeral directors, coffee shop, hair salon, a Chinese restaurant, Indian restaurant and a local fish & chip take-away business. St Crispins Local Centre has also attracted a new NHS dental practice.

Opportunities to lease units in sizes from just 375 sq ft remain available and would ideally be suitable for a wide range of uses such as a gift/craft shop, beauty salon, dry cleaners, clothes retailer, delicatessen or other retail uses.

Marketing of the office accommodation has also now commenced. These are available in suites from 616 sq ft up to 2,004 sq ft. All will have the benefit of car parking within the scheme, intercom entry system, carpeting, double glazing and kitchen facilities.

Further information on opportunities available within the St Crispins Local Centre can be obtained from sole letting agent prop-search - Tel: 01933 223300.
