The UK's largest press release writing and distribution service has announced exponential growth in the second half of the financial year.

Midlands-based company pr2go, has more than trebled its client base, with well over 150 clients signed-up to its service since July 2010. These include convenience store chain, One Stop and more recently, national flooring retailer, Floors-2-Go.

Alongside these major national brands, pr2go's success stems from its innovative offering, making PR accessible to smaller businesses across the UK for the first time.

James Hobday, CEO and founder of pr2go said, " Businesses often have great news stories, but are restricted by budget and know-how. Educating local business owners on what PR is, and how press releases can be used, has been our main goal this year. 

"With marketing budgets tightening, our press release package concept introduces PR to small businesses in an affordable manner, ideal to form a major part of overall marketing strategy or to complement any activity already in place, such as advertising", he added.

The rapid growth has fuelled a major recruitment drive, seeing pr2go's original team grow 400%, prompting a move to larger offices in Coleshill, last December.

Nick Clarke, Operations Manager explains the concept in more detail, "By blending PR with journalism to craft interesting news stories, we are attempting to become a friend to the publications we target. In this way, we hope to gain good quality coverage for our clients, whilst providing a valuable resource for editors and journalists alike".

pr2go has ambitious plans in place to double its workforce over the next twelve months, and is currently on the lookout for freelance journalists seeking an additional income.
