Traffic builds online prescription tool for global healthcare provider

Birmingham marketing agency Traffic, has built an online ordering portal that will provide NHS therapists, Social Services and private healthcare organisations with a quick and precise method for selecting patient lifting slings.

Built for Oxford - part of Joerns Healthcare and one of the world's leading patient handling brands - the Sling Selector will debut at Naidex National 2011 at the NEC on 5-7 April.

The tool will enable public and private health practitioners to order the most suitable sling for their patient via an intuitive process, taking into account specifics including task, transfer, safe working load and type of lift to be deployed.

It will offer detailed sling information including instruction videos and provide customer account reporting to monitor purchasing trends. It will be particularly helpful to clinicians less familiar with sling equipment, such as junior or trainee occupational therapists, physiotherapists and back care advisors.

As well as launching the UK version, Traffic has developed regional versions for the US and Dutch markets with both set to go live in the Summer.

Commenting on the launch of the Sling Selector, Tom Bulpitt, Marketing Manager, Oxford, said:

"The Sling Selector will provide our customers with a quick and easy way of identifying the most suitable slings for their patient. We're confident it will become an invaluable tool for anyone working in the area of patient handling and moving. The project was quite intricate and complex but Traffic understood our specific requirements from start to finish and worked flexibly to deliver on time."

Phil Elwell, Director at Traffic added:

"We're delighted that public and private healthcare organisations can start to benefit from easier and more accurate patient sling ordering. In addition to creating an easier route to market, Oxford will have access to a variety of reporting that will provide valuable insight into their customer's purchasing habits".
