British flower specialist The Wiggly Florist is ensuring next
day delivery of thousands of bouquets with APC Overnight's Handled
with Care service. Since using the service, The Wiggly Florist has
seen a significant improvement in customer satisfaction, which has
helped expand its business across the UK.
"We receive excellent service from the local APC depot in
Hereford. Feedback from our customers shows that their bouquets
arrive on time and in perfect condition. For fresh flowers this is
extremely important as the majority are bought for special
occasions, from funerals to weddings," says Heather Gorringe,
MD.
APC Overnight's flexibility is important. The local depot is
able to arrange different pick up times and lay on additional
resources to collect the bouquets whenever necessary.
"We promise next day delivery throughout the year and APC helps
us fulfil our commitment. The depot will send out extra vehicles
when we need them. Even the harsh winter conditions we experienced
at the end of December and in January did not prevent collections
and deliveries. The local customer-focused approach is the key
differentiator for APC, which goes a long way in supporting our
floristry business," says Heather Gorringe.
Around 85 per cent of The Wiggly Florist's customers place
orders online, with the remainder by phone or by mail order. Parcel
collections are booked automatically using a web-based system
installed by APC. The system automates the booking process and
provides traceability and proof of delivery. It also prints the
shipping labels automatically.
