The brand new Lincoln division of Totally Dynamic, the UK's
hottest vehicle transformation company, is really trucking. The
dynamic duo who run the Lincolnshire franchise have been called in
to help revamp one of the region's biggest and most successful
transport companies.
Ryan Travis and Perry Cooper really are on the road to success
after being asked to start wrapping the haulage fleet of Craven
Transport, which has been offering a high quality operation in
Lincolnshire for years.
Being asked to design and wrap the trucks was a real coup for
the two car enthusiasts, who only started their wrapping operation
at the end of last year. The distinctive red and white lorries are
a familiar sight in the Lincolnshire countryside as they take their
bulk cargoes to market.
But Ryan and Perry have not only done a terrific job for
transport and agricultural businessman Andrew Craven, who owns the
fleet - they have also saved him significant amounts of money.
Ryan explained: "Mr Craven runs a very friendly, reliable and
professional haulage operation which is well known locally. But he
was buying white trucks and then taking them to a traditional paint
shop to have them painted in his red and white livery.
"By the time he had spent money on preparing the trucks,
spraying them and having graphics and logos applied - plus the
value he lost on resale because the trucks were painted - he was
losing in the region of £4500 on each tractor unit."
Ryan, who quit a senior executive position in a local car
dealership to grab the chance of working with Totally Dynamic, was
able to wrap the vehicles in durable, glossy protective film for a
fraction of the price of a traditional spray job - and when Mr
Craven wants to sell them on, they can be returned to their
original colour in pristine condition.
The Lincoln team were able to call on Totally Dynamic's UK-wide
design expertise and they offered Mr Craven a portfolio of 15
designs to choose from for his major rebranding exercise.
He said: "Totally Dynamic offered a comprehensive, quality
service at a highly competitive rate. Getting the branding right is
an expensive business in a fleet as big as ours - we have 25
lorries operating out of our base at Stickford, near Boston.
"Perry and Ryan have transformed one lorry cab and as a result
we have made some slight changes on a second one. There is no doubt
that vehicle wrapping is a much more cost effective option than
traditional paint jobs."
The Craven contract is just one of many orders which have been
flooding in to Totally Dynamic's Lincoln centre in the Lyndon
Business Park in Farrier Road - even though the team had to delay
their official opening day because of the severe winter
weather.
Perry, who has more than 20 years of experience in the vehicle
window-tinting business said: "We had our official opening ceremony
at the beginning of March which was a great success.
"There has been a great deal of interest from local car dealers
who are keen to give customers the colour of car they want even if
they don't have it in stock. By coming to us they can have the car
in any colour - or colours - and successfully close another
sale."
It is the first time that drivers in Lincoln have had the chance
to treat their cars to the same pampering as Premier League
footballers and international celebrities, who regularly commission
Totally Dynamic's UK centres to make their supercars stand out even
more from the crowd with head-turning wraps such as matt black and
brilliant gloss white.
Ryan said: "Vehicle wrapping has really caught the public
imagination this year. It is now recognised as the smart way to
give your car a unique new look at a fraction of the cost of other
methods."
