Derwent Living has reported a massive increase in the number of
visitors to its websites during 2010.
Figures show that over 750,000 visitors surfed the Derwent
Living websites during 2010 - a massive 45 per cent increase on
2009 figures.
Ellie Allseybrook, Derwent Living's marketing manager, says:
"Almost nine times as many people visited our websites last year
than called our customer service centre. We think that says a lot
for our commitment to continual website development. Visitors have
easy access to up-to-the-minute information and we are proposing
even further improvements for 2011."
Further figures show that 2,800 people visited the Derwent
Living websites every month using a mobile phone and, for eight
months of the year, social networking site, Facebook, was the top
referrer.
Investment in web development has also ensured the websites much
improved rankings. Ellie added: "We have invested a lot in
improving our search engine rankings. For example, the search term
'student housing' saw us ranked 134th in 2009 but in 2010 we have
risen to a 9th place ranking.
"Even more impressively, the term 'social housing' has shifted
us from 442nd to 16th! The value of this is evident in the
fantastic visitor levels we've achieved."
