Business across Shropshire can learn about the "big buzz in the
technology world" with a 'Lunch n Learn' workshop being offered by
a county IT specialist.
Chris Pallett, the Shropshire chairman of the Chartered
Institute of IT who runs Bespoke Computing in Telford, is working
with the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to provide a number of
workshops for businesses.
They are taking place throughout the first half of 2011 and the
next session is on The Cloud on March 23rd, 2011, between 12pm and
2pm at the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce offices in Stafford Park,
Telford.
Mr Pallett said: "The big buzz word in the technology world
right now is The Cloud as it offers an exciting and flexible new
approach to delivering technology solutions.
"Some providers are promising business revolution, increased
sales and reduced technology costs. But what does it all really
mean? In real terms, what could The Cloud do for your
business?"
The workshop will teach participants about what The Cloud is,
but more importantly, what The Cloud isn't, understand what it
means to put your business in The Cloud and the advantages of doing
so, learn the difference between the Public Cloud and a Private
Cloud, understand the pitfalls of buying into The Cloud and how to
avoid them and take away practical examples of how you can employ
The Cloud within your own business.
The price to attend is just £25 plus VAT and includes a
working lunch; places are limited to 15 people.
