National contractor Shepherd Construction has appointed Gary
Owen as Business Development Manager with responsibility for
implementing the company's work winning strategy across the East
Midlands region.
Gary, who was previously Business Development Manager for Laing
O' Rourke in the Midlands, has more than 25 years' experience in
the construction sector.
He was responsible for bringing forward a number of major
projects in the Midlands area including the £30 million
National Ice Centre for Nottingham City Council and the £20
million National College of School Leadership for the University of
Nottingham.
Colin Sargeant, managing director for Shepherd Construction's
East Division commented: "Gary's appointment will strengthen our
working winning team at a time when we are looking to capitalise
upon our previous successes across the East Midlands. We are
currently on-site with a number of projects in the region including
building a new design centre for Loughborough University and
recently we handed over the £31 million flagship regeneration
scheme, Derby Riverlights."
