Prime Chartered Accountants has relocated its Coventry practice
to Whitley Business Park after completing a deal with developer St.
Modwen to purchase Buildings Five and Six at the business park.
The 93-acre Whitley Business Park is situated off the A45
Coventry Road, close to the A46 junction and adjacent to Jaguar
Land Rover's research and development facility in the city. Prime
Chartered Accountants has purchased two neighbouring buildings on
the first completed phase at the business park, Lakeside, occupying
a total of 6,232 sq ft of new office space that is rated BREEAM
'Very Good'.
Mark Watkins, development surveyor for St. Modwen, said: "Prime
Chartered Accountants' move to the business park represents an
important milestone for the firm as it continues to build on its
successes and lay the foundations for on-going growth and
expansion. This latest deal follows a succession of recent lettings
at Whitley Business Park resulting in just one property now
available for occupation on phase one. A quality environment in a
prime Coventry location, Whitley Business Park is clearly now
firmly established as a thriving and diverse new commercial
community in the heart of Coventry."
Previously based on the Warwick Road in Coventry, Prime
Chartered Accountants' growing team of 33 employees has now
relocated to its new build premises in a move that marks a new era
for the company. Laurence Moore, chairman of Prime Group explains:
"Prime Chartered Accountants has moved into a new era - accountancy
has changed and so have we. We've always been a little different
and strayed away from the traditional image of accountants but more
than ever now we're adopting a more forward thinking, dynamic
approach with young ideas.
"This new office emphasises that profile with bright open space
and easy accessibility. We are sure the move will highlight
one of the values we hold most dear, being customer friendly."
Following a succession of deals at Whitley Business Park just
one building now remains on the first phase comprising 3,395 sq ft
of office space. Design and build opportunities are also
available at the business park for bespoke office, industrial and
warehouse space.
David Penn, managing director of Shortland Horne Commercial,
joint agents for Whitley Business Park with Savills, added:
"Whitley Business Park is a genuine jewel in Coventry's commercial
property crown with enormous potential. Prime Chartered Accountants
recognise this and their deal - as well as the substantial interest
we have had in the site - is testament to that."
Whitley Business Park benefits from excellent connectivity to
the surrounding motorway network, in particular the M6, the M40 and
the M1. Mainline rail connections are accessible via Coventry
city centre, Warwick Parkway and Birmingham International train
stations. Birmingham and Coventry Airports are within a short
drive, the latter being within two miles of the scheme.
