Birmingham-based property investor and developer Paul Bassi is
planning a charity "triumph".
The head of AIM-listed Real Estate Investors is to raffle off a
special edition Triumph Bonneville 865 motor bike he recently paid
£11,000 for … at a charity auction.
He is selling 250 tickets at £100 each to friends,
business contacts and family, looking to raise a further
£25,000 for good causes which will be distributed through the
Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust.
The Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust was established by Mr Bassi to
bring together the various charity fund raising events they are
involved in and to respond to the many requests they receive for
donations and assistance every year.
In a letter he quips: "Despite the fact that I am 50 years old
next year, I am not having a mid-life crisis!"
Noting that he had acquired the modern classic at the recent
Gentlemen's Night Out Christmas Extravaganza in December, he went
on: "It will come as no surprise to you that I have absolutely no
intention of riding the bike and it is currently in my living
room!"
The raffle draw will take place in Asha's restaurant in
Birmingham - drinks and buffet supplied by Paul - where the winning
ticket will be drawn and the bike will have a new owner.
A date will be announced once all the tickets are snapped
up.
