Moggs Marketing is the latest high profile business to take up
office space within Friar Gate Studios, the home of the creative
industries in Derby.
The move coincides with a number of new business gains for the
company, which was founded by Roger Moggs in 2001 and offers a full
strategic and creative marketing service.
Moggs was recently been appointed by market leaders Bristan to
handle the national launch of its new range of electric showers,
following a competitive creative pitch.
In addition, it has also gained another division of Draka
Communications, world leaders in the manufacture of electric
cables. Draka, which has its marketing base in Cologne, Germany,
has hired the company to build brand awareness for a new range of
IT communications products and solutions with the implementation of
an integrated marketing campaign.
Commenting on the move to Friar Gate Studios, Roger Moggs,
managing director at Moggs Marketing said:
"We are delighted to have joined the creative family at Friar
Gate Studios, especially as it is now widely regarded as the centre
for the creative community in Derby.
"Prior to relocating here, we had already been working with a
number of businesses based at the Studios, so it's great to be
based in the same location. The facilities at here are excellent
and were a significant factor in our decision to move our team
here.
Roger continues:
"When we launched in 2001 we were the first virtual agency in
the UK and are about to celebrate our 10th birthday. It's been an
excellent 10 years and even through the last two years has been
challenging for many businesses, our concept has served us well and
we have continued to attract high quality clients from across the
UK.
"This is a really progressive time for Moggs. Our virtual
business concept has always proved popular with clients and as we
come out of the recession more businesses are moving towards the
way we deliver high quality marketing communications solutions.
"The world is changing and big name brands, who would have
previously gravitated towards agencies in London and the key
provincial cities, are now realising that they can get 'big
agency' talent and outstanding service here in Derby - and much
more competitively priced!"
Ann Bhatti, centre manager at Friar Gate Studios, added:
"I would like to welcome Roger and his team to Friar Gate
Studios. The company is already well known to many of our tenants
and we wish them every success in the future."
Friar Gate Studios, based on Ford Street in Derby, is a
purpose-built centre for growing businesses in the creative

for businesses in one of the fastest growing sectors in the
