Soaring demand for luxury leather goods is poised to deliver a
double bonus - more West Midlands jobs and extra choice for
shoppers.
Discerning customers have fuelled a fantastic expansion move for
Walsall-based Marlborough World, with the company moving to larger
premises.
It's great news from Marlborough World (the trading name of
Giftware Enterprises Ltd), at a traditionally tough time for the UK
economy.
What's more, Marlborough World has remained loyal to Walsall by
moving to another site within the town, while the company, which
currently employs 12 people, is on course to double its workforce
over the coming year - providing a much needed boost to the local
job market.
Marlborough's growing success has fuelled the move for the
company, which has been making fine, hand-crafted, luxury leather
items - including shooting accessories, hip flasks, jewellery boxes
and other goods - for four decades.
Owner Richard Taylor said extra production space was needed, so
that Marlborough could increase its range of specialised
equipment.
As a result, shoppers are to be offered a fabulous selection of
new leather goods with the addition of luxury briefcases, luxury
luggage and high class games sets, such as chess and
backgammon.
But the change of premises will also allow the company to meet
the increased demand for its currently popular products, as
well.
Richard Taylor, Malbourough World Owner, is delighted with his
business' expansion:
"Marborough World has been producing top quality English leather
luxury goods for some 40 years now, both directly via our website
and via many high quality outlets."
"Now we have invested in new equipment and expect to take on ten
more staff over the next 12 months."
