Birmingham-based Lovell has been awarded a one-year contract to
refurbish 80 council-owned homes managed by Cheltenham Borough
Homes (CBH).
The work, which falls under the Decent Homes initiative, is
worth around £450,000. Affordable housing and refurbishment
specialists Lovell say the two organisations have forged an
excellent relationship over the last eight years. Lovell Midlands
Partnering & Development Manager Rob Moore commented:
"We started working with CBH in 2003. We have always worked hard
to deliver an outstanding service and I think the fact that we are
still working together eight years later is testament to that.
"We have a strong relationship with CBH and will continue to
refurbish homes in the area to the very highest standards, while
also ensuring we play our part in helping community integration and
improving the lives of residents."
Vicky Day, Investment & Technical Manager for CBH added:
"Our successful Creating Better Homes project, which was
delivered through a partnering relationship with Lovell, resulted
in 100% decency levels for the properties we manage and maintain
two years ahead of Government deadlines and on budget. We are
pleased to be working with Lovell again to deliver an internal
refurbishment programme."
