partnership and employer event
Whilst it would appear there's nothing like a free lunch, there
is a free brunch taking place in Tamworth and local businesses are
cordially invited.
The Community Partnership and Employer Event, hosted by Pertemps
People Development Group, (PPDG) is aimed at raising awareness of
the recruitment and training services available to employers in the
town and surrounding area that could save them invaluable time and
money.
The free brunch at 9.30am and two further lunchtime sessions at
11.45am and 1.15pm, will highlight opportunities for companies to
benefit from a number of no cost services to help them through this
difficult trading period.
Centre manager Karen Evans said: "The event is the perfect
opportunity to network over a bite to eat and learn about the
cost-effective services we can provide. We already have a proven
track record of bringing together employers and local job seekers
in the Tamworth and Lichfield areas to help fill vacancies. This
event will showcase just what is available through the welfare to
work contracts we deliver."
The sessions will illustrate how longer- term job seekers are
supported by increasing their employability skills, job-specific
pre-employment training and opportunities for free work trials.
Over the past 16 months PPDG have helped 250 formally unemployed
residents back into work in Tamworth alone. Many now work for local
employers including: Protech Performance Plastics, Matalan,
Tamworth Snowdome and Alton Towers.
The event takes place on March 3rd at the White House in Church
Street. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register their
interest by contacting the centre on 01827 290040.
