Last month members of the local business community were invited
to attend the Belgrade Theatre's Annual Networking Breakfast, which
was sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover.
Now in its fourth year, the Belgrade's Annual Networking
Breakfast is a free event that gives members of the local business
community the chance to network with businesses from across
Coventry and Warwickshire and also learn more about developments at
the Belgrade Theatre.
This year's event, which was held on Tuesday 15 February from
7.30am to 9.30am, attracted more than 80 people from the
region.
David Jane, Commercial Director at the Belgrade Theatre,
explained: "The networking breakfast has grown from year to year
and has proved to be a great way for local businesses to connect
with each other. It is also a great chance for people to hear about
the exciting work that the Belgrade is currently producing and to
explore the different facilities available at the theatre".
In addition to networking, attendees had the opportunity to
listen to guest speakers including Geoff Brooke-Taylor from the
Leamington branch of law firm Alsters Kelley and Chairman of the
Belgrade's Business Development Committee and Les Ratcliffe, Head
of Community Relations at the event's sponsor Jaguar Land Rover,
who talked about Corporate Social Responsibility.
Les Ratcliffe said: "Jaguar Land Rover was really pleased to
sponsor the Belgrade's networking breakfast. Our support to the
arts via the Arts & Business Awards is long standing and the
ongoing work with the Belgrade supports our wider Corporate Social
Responsibility strategy."
There was also presentation of the Belgrade's new Theatre
Business Training Programme which offers businesses half and full
day workshops on presentation skills, team building and
communications skills.
The workshops use a range of drama techniques, exercises,
creative activity and role play, to build skills in business
presentation, creative thinking, problem-solving, assertiveness and
giving and receiving feedback.
All areas of the theatre were open, including the Main Stage and
the B2 auditorium, for attendees to have a look around the venue
and Jaguar Land Rover brought along two of their classic models for
attendees to have a look at.
