A new independent hairdressing and beauty salon has become the
latest addition to the growing business community at the
award-winning Phoenix Square in Leicester's cultural quarter.
Situated on Burton Street in the heart of Leicester, Studio 6
offers an extensive choice of hair and beauty services, with the
team of stylists, colourists, nail technicians and beauty
therapists using some of the very best professional product ranges
available to salons, including Loreal and Creative Nail Design
(CND).
Krzysztof Szmidt, director of Studio 6, explained why Phoenix
Square stood out as a location for the new salon. He said: "The
launch of this new business is the culmination of several years
spent thoroughly researching the marketplace and exploring our
options for establishing a business in Leicester. We noticed there
was untapped demand for a salon in this area of the city which
could deliver a full treatment menu backed up by the use of high
quality professional products.
"The location of Phoenix Square was ultimately the major factor
in the decision to base Studio 6 here. There is excellent access to
public transport along with plenty of car-parking provision within
a short walking distance; and the location is ideal for attracting
passing trade, as we have a highly visible street frontage. The
salon itself is an impressive new building with a modern,
state-of-the-art appearance, which is important for a business
which prides itself on giving clients a relaxing, indulgent
experience.
"Another key benefit to locating Studio 6 at Phoenix Square was
the existing community here, with those living in the apartments,
working in the office space and visiting the cinema all potential
clients; and we are looking forward to getting to know the local
people even better as the salon continues to go from strength to
strength."
Phoenix Square is a landmark cultural building which combines
contemporary living space with an independent arts cinema,
café bar, and state of the art workspaces and office studios
to accommodate Leicester's growing number of creative businesses.
The project is the result of an innovative partnership between
Blueprint, Phoenix, and Leicester City Council in collaboration
with De Montfort University, and it has quickly established a
reputation as an example of 21st century sustainable building
design, coupled with leading-edge architectural quality.
John Long from Blueprint, said: "We are delighted to welcome
Studio 6 to Phoenix Square, as attracting a vibrant mix of
commercial tenants is vital to our aim of creating a sustainable
new community in the heart of Leicester. The salon boosts the
existing offering at the development with a service that I'm sure
will prove popular with those who live, work and socialise at
Phoenix Square; and it will help to put this area on the map as a
thriving city centre destination."
An exclusive selection of self-contained duplex offices is
currently available on flexible lease terms at Phoenix Square.
Ranging in size from 950 sq ft to 1,660 sq ft q ft, the Grade A
office space has been designed with sustainability in mind, giving
occupiers all the benefits of maximum energy efficiency.
Each individual office has a prominent on-street frontage with

mezzanine level. All occupiers have access to a private
landscaped courtyard, and to a range of facilities including
