With the clock ticking towards 6 October 2011 - and the biggest change to regulation governing the legal sector in decades when the SRA Handbook replaces the Solicitors Code of Conduct - fast expanding Birmingham-based legal consultancy Inpractice UK has welcomed Peter Warner as a compliance consultant.

Peter Warner is a legal expert on SRA Compliance, with extensive experience of working for both law firms and regulators. Admitted as a solicitor in 1985, he was in private practice until 1992 and has provided consultancy services and training ever since.

Allan Carton, founder and director of Inpractice UK, says Peter's arrival is an important addition to the business.

"We're delighted to welcome Peter to Inpractice - he's a real leader in his field and brings with him a new and highly relevant area of expertise for us to offer to our clients," said Allan.

"We are continuing to build the right expertise and a comprehensive set of solutions needed now to enable law firms and other providers of legal services to introduce change and improve their business quickly.

"With 6 October very much on the horizon, compliance is at the top of every law firm's agenda right now, with a lot of uncertainty. Peter has the practical experience needed to allow lawyers make the right changes, with confidence," he added.

Peter Warner's areas of compliance expertise include outcomes focused regulation (OFR), Legal Services Act, Risk Management, Code of Conduct, Management Development Skills Coaching and Quality Assurance.

He said:

"It's a great time to be working with the team at Inpractice UK.

"The business is making giant strides and I'll be working with like minded people who are each experts in their field."

Inpractice UK is currently engaged in a period of ongoing expansion.

In addition to Peter Warner's involvement, the business last week appointed Andrew Taylor as a Financial Management Consultant.
