UK tile manufacturer Johnson Tiles has appointed Darren Clanford as creative director to strengthen its senior team.

Darren, who lives in Lancashire, brings over 23 years of design experience to the position, having previously worked for specialist flooring company AIREA PLC.

As part of his new role, Darren will be working closely with the senior marketing team and design departments to create and launch various new product ranges, specifically for the architect and designer as well as retail and export markets.

Commenting on his appointment, Darren said: "I'm thrilled to join Johnson Tiles, particularly at such an exciting time when the company is growing at a phenomenal rate. My role will see me working closely with the creative department both at its Stoke-on-Trent headquarters and its Material Lab studio in London. 

"We already have an exciting product range and exceptional quality of service. I look forward to developing this area and ensuring Johnson Tiles continues to provide the very best tiles on the market."

A division of Norcros Group, the Stoke-on-Trent based firm has over 100 years' experience and operates in both residential and commercial markets. It recently reported a 16.7 per cent rise in revenue in the 17 weeks to January 30, compared to the same period last year.
