Birmingham's award-winning Indian restaurant Asha's has a lucky
customer who will be flying off to a luxury holiday in Dubai after
beating odds of 3,000-1 to win.
That was the amazing number who entered in just eight weeks the
competition was open.
Diner Jaina Patel from Selly Oak, Birmingham, has won the luxury
trip for two lucky customers.
National Exhibition Centre chief executive Paul Thandi drew out
the winning number.
Asha's General Manager Jaimon George said: "We were struggling
to get all the tickets into the one massive pot.
"But I am sure that 'Picking Out Patel' will give Jaina another
wonderful experience of fine dining.
"It means five days in Dubai, a meal at one of Asha's two sister
restaurants there, a sight-seeing tour and a safari."
Helping with the presentation were the lovely Sabrina Kenth -
father Pawan is a business partner in the venture with property
developer Paul Bassi - and her friend Elise Hughes.
Asha's, launched by Indian singing star Asha Bhosle, has
restaurants in Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Bahrain as well
as Birmingham
