IT specialists nets contract with UK's largest private hospital group

PRM Green Technologies Ltd have secured an exclusive three-year contract with BMI Healthcare - the largest independent provider of private healthcare in the UK.

The IT disposal and recycling company, based in Staffordshire, is to facilitate the IT disposal for BMI Healthcare - part of General Healthcare Group.

BMI Healthcare has 73 sites across the UK and PRM Green Technologies will perform quarterly collections from every BMI Healthcare hospital and healthcare facility, fully compliant with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives.

The deal was won in partnership with Orchid IT, based in Derby. PRM Green Technologies will further assist Orchid to deliver an end-to-end compliant solution to their clients.

Since its establishment in 2009, PRM Green Technologies has grown rapidly. The company now delivers its unique, 100% cost-free service, to over 2,700 clients nationwide.

The company collect and recycle all redundant, surplus, end of life, and damaged IT and communications equipment. PRM Green Technologies can guarantee reduced landfill, as most items are intended for refurbishment and reuse, thereby reducing the carbon costs of recycling itself.

PRM Green Technologies' clients include schools, healthcare organisations and local governments - including several county and city councils.

Also, the company has recently started delivering its service to the commercial sector. By securing the exclusive rights to provide its service to BMI Healthcare over the next three years, this contract is a welcome addition to PRM Green Technologies' fast growing corporate client base.

Tim Hawkins, PRM Green Technology Director, says he and business partner Paul Mullett, are very enthusiastic for the future of the company:

"This is an excellent opportunity for us to continue to grow the concept of our business, whilst securing more jobs for the future. The ability to continue to grow and be able to provide much needed employment in the local area is a massive boost for the local economy." Tim explained.

"We look forward to working with BMI and welcome Orchid onboard. This contract confirms that we are moving in the right direction, whilst ensuring a greener future for the industry as a whole." Paul added

Dan Morgan, IT Director for General Healthcare, says:

"This is an excellent and cost-effective method of disposing of our old IT equipment in an environmentally-friendly manner. The combination of Orchid's quality customer service and PRM Green Technology's expertise are perfect for BMI Healthcare."
