Bromsgrove marketing communications agency, Gough Bailey Wright,
has helped to save lives in February - National Heart Month - by
raising money to support the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Red
for Heart campaign.
Colleagues joined fundraisers across the country by turning up
to work on Friday (25th February) wearing as many red items of
clothing as possible to support the British Heart Foundation. The
company raised over £200.
Sue Bailey, Managing Director at Gough Bailey Wright, said: "The
office has been awash with a sea of red today, with the team making
a special effort to raise money for such a worthwhile
cause.
"Wear Red Day has a special significance to us as we are also
supporting Donna's Dream and the Campaign for an Opt-Out Only Organ
Donor Register. Donna, a colleague's niece, got married this time
last year, but sadly passed away in July whilst waiting for a third
heart transplant."
Jackie Skeel, Head of National Campaigns at the British Heart
Foundation, said: "Thank you to Gough Bailey Wright for going Red
for Heart, with their support we can continue our vital life saving
work and continue the fight against the UK's biggest killer. 2011
is an extra special year for the BHF as it's our 50th birthday, so
there's never been a better time to join the celebrations and get
involved."
