Fusion, the Coventry-based contact centre business, has this
week launched its 2011 Learning and Development programme, offering
employees the opportunity to complete a variety of in-house,
nationally recognised, qualifications to help further their
careers. Sixteen staff - at both managerial and customer advisory
level - from the Mile Lane site will complete either an NVQ or
Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) course this year.
The launch follows on from the success of the 2010 programme,
which saw 25 employees complete a vocational qualification. Three
of the ILM graduates have since been promoted to Team Leader
positions. As part of the courses, delegates learn about areas such
as Communication in Management, Becoming an Effective Leader, and
Leading Innovation and Change.
Andy Talbot, Site Manager at Fusion, commented: "As a company we
have continued to experience strong growth since we moved to our
Parkside Business Park offices in 2007. We have quickly become a
respected local employer and one of the reasons we are able to
drive growth is because of the calibre of our people.
Andy continued: "In order to retain the best possible staff it
is important to provide ongoing training and career development
opportunities. Our courses are popular because employees can
clearly see the career development opportunities that are open to
them across the business - particularly with previous graduates of
the courses visibly progressing through the ranks. In our annual
employee survey, our learning and development opportunities scored
very positively with 81 per cent of the respondents saying that
Fusion provided them with access to the learning they need to be
successful. "
Daljnder Sandhu, Team Leader at Fusion Coventry and recent
graduate of the ILM Level three programme, said: "I have been with
Fusion for 12 years and one of the appealing things about the
organisation is the emphasis that the business places on career
development. The course was extremely challenging, however, we
received a high level of support and guidance from our managers and
the company as a whole. I am already using the skills I learnt in
my day-to-day role and to be promoted on completion of my
qualification was the icing on the cake."
Fusion is currently recruiting for a variety of Sales and
Service Advisor, Retentions Agents and Team Leaders roles.
