Football enthusiasts are being called upon to lace up their
boots for a charity five-a-side tournament that has become a
regular fixture for businesses in the county.
Nottingham solicitors Fraser Brown are looking for a total of 32
corporate teams in a bid to raise £5000 for Macmillan Cancer
Support. The event, which will take place on April 13th, has become
a regular fixture on the corporate sporting calendar, raising
thousands of pounds and cementing working relationships in the
process.
With first and second prizes on offer, not to mention the
sporting reputations of businessmen from across the region, games
are sure to be fiercely contested and played with enthusiasm, if
not expertise!
Already 20 teams have signed up to take part and businesses
interested in playing are being urged to get in touch to avoid
missing out.
Graham Green, Senior Partner at Fraser Brown, said, "The
tournament may be competitive but it's played in a sporting manner
and provides the perfect opportunity to get into the football
spirit for the summer. The evening is a great chance to network and
catch up with old and new contacts, not to mention raise plenty of
money for a worthy charity.
"The date coincides with the Champions League Quarter final game
and this will be screened during the tournament, offering a chance
for everyone to relax with a drink or two and watch the match."
Cumin Indian Restaurant will be providing all the food at the
event. Manager Shelley Anand said, "We are delighted to be able to
support Fraser Brown's charity tournament once again. It is an
enjoyable evening and the money raised will go to a very good
cause."
The tournament, now in its third year, will take place at The
University of Nottingham's Sports Centre, with games kicking off at
6.00pm. Entrance fees are £150 per 8-man team, which includes
an Indian buffet provided by Cumin Indian Restaurant and drinks for
the players. Supporters of the teams are also welcome. To enrol a
team please contact Heather Mitchell on 0115 947 1546 or email
