A leading Midlands adventure centre has come to the rescue of a
group of university students.
SAS Paintball, based at Codsall Wood, near Wolverhampton has
opened its doors and provided facilities free of charge, for visual
arts students from Derby University who were desperate to find a
suitable location for a film they are producing as part of their
degree work.
Mike Yates, managing director said: "This is the start of our
busy weekday period, but we managed to slot them in and offer our
outdoor, woodland and indoor areas for them to film some serious
military action.
"We are always happy to support the British film industry in
general and more so to support up-and-coming film makers such as
these young students, who we hope will have a great future in front
of them."
The film called 'Halo: Baptism by Fire' has been written,
produced and directed by student Jamie Ashworth with lighting,
sound and camera work carried out by fellow students.
Jamie added: "These action scenes are vital to the whole film,
the facilities here are ideal and the finished movie will go
towards our final year graduation project work.
"We are all extremely grateful to SAS Paintball for allowing us
to shoot the scenes and for helping us as much as they can."
