A business advisory firm has increased its global reach after
becoming members of one of the largest accounting and advisory
associations in the world.
Cooper Parry, which has offices in Derby, Leicester, London and
Nottingham, is part of IGAF Polaris who formed recently after the
merger of three international accounting associations Polaris
International, Fidunion and IGAF Worldwide, to create one of the
largest associations of independent accounting firms around the
world.
Cooper Parry, who has been a member of IGAF Worldwide for over
20 years, is the only East Midlands firm in the new association. It
means the firm now has access to greater international resources
and an increased representation across the world. Members typically
support each other's clients' international aspirations and share
best working practices.
As part of its association with IGAF Polaris, the firm is
holding a "Doing Business in Russia" seminar next month for
businesses looking to expand their services overseas. The seminar
will include presentations from a Moscow based Accountancy
Consultancy and is being supported by UKTI.
Jeremy Bowler, Chief Executive of Cooper Parry, said: "We are
delighted to be members of IGAF Polaris and the only firm in the
East Midlands to be part of this prestigious group.
"It means we are now part of an enlarged global association
which is great news for our clients because we can add more value
for them as we will have bigger and better resources. It means we
can facilitate introductions for our clients looking to expand
abroad through our international connections.
"It will also help us to be more competitive as well as benefit
from knowledge transfer and shared learning to improve operations
and profitability. The Russia seminar is a good example of our
ongoing growth strategy. It is just the start of our aim to expand
our global knowledge and expertise."
Kevin Mead, the CEO of IGAF Polaris, said: "We are pleased and
proud to have Cooper Parry as one of our UK member firms. I know
that Cooper Parry will benefit from the significant additional
expertise and resources being extended to their clients from their
peer member firms around the globe."
The "Doing Business in Russia" breakfast event will take place
at the Cooper Parry offices in Derby on April 5. The seminars will
hosted by Chet Bowling, founder of Alinga Consulting Group, Moscow,
Russia.
IGAF Polaris is one of the leading associations of independent
accounting firms in the world, with 384 member firms, 2,400
partners, 16,300 employees and 843 offices in 89 countries with a
combined annual revenue of £1.13bn. The merger is expected to
be complete by 1 June 2011.
The new world headquarters for IGAF Polaris will be in Miami,
Florida, with regional offices in Europe, the Americas and Asia
Pacific.
