A well-known office building in the centre of Nottingham is set
to be given a new lease of life as it undergoes a refurbishment
programme.
Rodney House, which is being jointly marketed by the Nottingham
office of DTZ and Innes England, is to be given a makeover to
transform its reception and entrance area.
The works will include modifications to the current entrance to
allow DDA friendly access and the change of use of the ground floor
into a retail unit. DTZ's project and building consultancy team in
Nottingham has been involved in the design procurement and will be
overseeing the refurbishment works.
Built in the 1970s, Rodney House comprises a six storey,
multi-let building with office suites ranging from 748 sq ft to
3,638 sq ft.
Helen Longstaffe, Director of business space at DTZ in
Nottingham, commented: "Rodney House is located within an
established commercial area in the city centre. With the
refurbishment works due to commence shortly, this will be great
opportunity to secure centrally located office space on flexible
and highly competitive terms.
She added: "Larger office suites of up to 5,000 sq ft will also
be available once the refurbishment has been completed."
Craig Straw, Director at Innes England, commented: "The
refurbishment has been carefully designed to ensure the most is
made of the building's central location on one of the city centre's
key pedestrian streets. The works will result in an enhanced
'reception experience' which is important for both visitors and
occupiers alike."
The building, which fronts both Castle Gate and Hounds Gate, is
two minutes away from Nottingham's main retail centre, a ten minute
walk from the train station and benefits from onsite parking.
Other occupiers at Rodney House include Pearson Plc and
Macildowie & Associates Recruitment Consultants.
