Law firm Berryman, which merged with Midlands firm Shakespeare Putsman last year, has a new marketing team to drive the marketing and business development planning and strategy for the Nottingham location of the new multi-site firm.

The new team is headed by Lisa Cawdron, newly appointed Business Development Director for the East Midlands, and a former Partner and Director of Property at Berryman since 2002. Lisa's role will be to assist the firm in growing its core revenue in the East Midlands and ensure a structured and passionate approach to its market profile and business development activity in the region.

She is joined by new recruits Emma Johnson, who takes on the role of Marketing Manager, supported by new Marketing Assistant Rebecca Froggatt.

The team will act as the East Midlands marketing hub for the new multi-site firm, working alongside the firm's other marketing teams based in Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Amongst the new team's first projects will be the launch of the new name and brand for the multi-site firm, scheduled for later this year, together with an extensive programme of seminars, workshops and events in Nottingham and across the Midlands.

Emma Johnson has more than ten years business-to-business and professional services marketing experience, having worked as International Marketing Manager for PKF International in London for five years, and most recently in Marketing & Communications at Nottingham City Council's Special Projects and Business Development unit.

Nottingham Trent University graduate Rebecca Froggatt brings five years marketing and project management experience, in particular as Marketing Officer at the University of Wales, a position she held for nearly four years. Rebecca holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma.

Commenting on the new team, Shakespeare Putsman chief executive Paul Wilson said: "The new marketing team in our Nottingham office represents a strong, experienced and dedicated resource. This will be vital to maintain and enhance the firm's excellent reputation and profile in Nottingham and across the East Midlands and to implement the new name and brand once it is launched in the summer. Across the firm's Midlands regional network of offices, we now have an excellent marketing resource who will execute a pivotal role towards driving the business strategy to assist achieving our ambitious growth and market positioning plans."

Berryman's current Marketing Director Sue Carr, who has been with the firm since 2007, is leaving the firm in April 2011 to found and head her own marketing consultancy business.
