Nottingham-based ICT solutions specialist, XMA has announced
plans to embark on a recruitment drive to expand its team by
creating more than 20 new roles at the Group's offices in Wilford.
Despite the difficult economic climate, the company is planning
to recruit the roles across its marketing, IT technical/engineering
and sales operations.
XMA's Managing Director, Simon Perret said: "We are a growing
company - 30% in 2010 - and we have ambitious targets in place for
2011 to supply even more ICT products and solutions into public
sector and UK businesses. We realise that to continue to grow
we need experienced professionals to help drive our business
forward."
The announcement coincides with the results of the latest
Quarterly Economic Survey of Businesses, carried out by the
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, which found
that, although the local economic recovery started to slow at the
back end of 2010, firms are still planning for growth in the New
Year.
The survey, which takes into account the views of more than 350
local businesses, showed that, despite the stuttering pace of
growth at the end of 2010, firms generally remain positive about
the first three months of 2011.
The survey revealed that, over all, firms have increased
confidence in both future profitability and turnover, whilst 20% of
businesses expect to increase their workforces.
XMA has been a specialist supplier of IT products and services
in the public sector for over 20 years, specialising in solutions
for education, local government and healthcare. Last week, the
company was promoting its services to the education sector at the
BETT Show in London - the UK's top 'technology in education'
event.
