For companies taking part in myM-link's 'Chain Reaction'
campaign, 35% felt that a new supplier would help their business
grow.
That represents a huge opportunity for companies in the medical
and healthcare supply chain, who may have the skills or products
that these firms are looking for. Surprisingly just 26% of
companies were focusing on new sales leads, while revised
legislation, increasing awareness, and new product development all
polled 11%.
With new companies signing up to the campaign at www.mym-link.co.uk
every day, this snapshot is changing constantly, but it is proof
that this unprecedented drive to link every healthcare and medical
company in the UK could have the potential to make the crucial
connections needed for businesses to reach the next
level.
Initiated by the Birmingham-based specialist membership
organisation, myM-link, the campaign has attracted response from
companies including Smith & Nephew, Primasil, Intelligent
Orthopaedics and the Binding Site, who completed the 100th link in
the chain.
myM-link manager Sue Wilde said: "It's clear that making the
right connections is incredibly important to life science
companies, and to find out that 35% are actively looking for UK
partners to help their business grow demonstrates the scope this
campaign could have. Through active participation and by
association, our aim was to connect every Life Science company in
the UK, but there's already so much potential here, we just need
more suppliers to share their business dreams, and perhaps we've
got their future customer already in the chain."
Companies have just one month left to join the chain, and need
to fill in an individual 'link-card' online, stating the one thing
that could transform their business, and list the three companies
with whom they would most like to do business. The link-cards are
available online at www.myM-link.co.uk.
