Thousands set to snap up tickets to 2011 Shropshire County Show

Advance tickets for this year's Midlands agricultural extravaganza - The Shropshire County Show - have now gone on sale to the public.

The two-day event will take place on May 14 and 15 in 2011 and tickets are now available to buy in advance from the website at www.shropshirecountyshow.com

Last year's inaugural Shropshire County Show was a huge success and thousands of people are set to converge on the Berwick Road showground in Shrewsbury once again this year - when the event is set to be bigger and better with the added bonus of the poultry classes returning.

Keith Brown, chairman of the pig section at this year's show, said: "The first Shropshire County Show was an outstanding success and we are extremely excited about what this year's May event has in store.

"There will be scores of cattle, sheep, pig, horse and poultry entries, events in the main ring and countryside arena and lots more besides."

The show is expected to attract thousands of people of all ages from all over the country to Shropshire.

Visitors to the event can spend the day touring the grounds and displays of classic cars and agricultural vehicles, the wonderful food hall, craft displays, non-stop entertainment in the arenas and much, much more.

Tickets are now available from the website at a cost of £10.00 for adults, £3.00 for children and £8.00 for the over 60s. Tickets will be available from the show office from next week.

On show days tickets will be available on the gates at £12.00 for adults, £4.00 for children and £10.00 for the over 60s.
